The naturally off-white fabric used to make Kake Futon Comforter is known as kibata. Being 100% natural (bleach and dye free), you can see tiny black specks on the fabric which are actually the dried calyx of the cotton flowers.

Warm and fluffy!

The blanket is great for feeling cozy and staying warm in the winter. The fabric is very soft and feels great against the skin.

The blanket itself is thick with a lot of structure, and so it stays on you really well at night. My kid loves using it for building forts and playing with his stuffies. It’s thick and sturdy enough that they can use it to make a slide from the couch to the floor. It’s just beautifully made and a joy to use. I always enjoy the considerate handwritten notes that they send too.

We LOVE our beautiful Keke Futon Comforter!

We purchased a single size (150x210 cm) Kake Futon Comforter in Petit Flower Bluegreen with a green Hanakomon for my mother who is also from Japan. She LOVES the comforter!

It is true to color from the website and fits a USA standard twin size bed perfectly. The quality is outstanding in both material and craftsmanship. We can tell Takaokaya takes great care when making each piece.

Takaokaya was very helpful with our questions about the colors and sizes. Shipping was easy and with timelines as expected (14-21 days). We highly recommend Takaokaya as we've also purchased their zabuton and ojami cushions.

We are really very happy to know that your mother gave the stamp of approval for our Kake Futon comforter. We hope that our handcrafted kake futon comforter with her Hanakomon brought back fond memories of Japan for her.
