At Takaokaya, we embrace this sentiment by breathing new life into these pre-loved treasures. Our master craftspeople delicately repurpose vintage Obi belts into our Kangu, evolving them from formal attire into essential pieces for modern relaxation.

In the Kyoto dialect of Japan, "Moppen" means "once again" or "one more time."

This collection features exquisite fabrics originally reserved for our bespoke projects in Japan. Following the completion of these custom works, a small, exclusive surplus remained. Guided by the spirit of Mottainai—the practice of honoring every material—we have repurposed these beautiful textiles so they may be appreciated once again, offering more people the chance to cherish their craftsmanship and comfort.
