Specially designed at a compact 120x160cm, this futon embodies ancestral wisdom. It is perfectly sized to keep your core warm while allowing your arms and legs to rest outside the cover, naturally regulating your body temperature for a restful night's sleep. For those who still prefer the cozy, tucked-in feeling of a full-sized blanket, we also offer a standard 150x210cm size so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.
The "Crespo" Difference Crafted from our premium "Crespo" fabric, this futon features a specialized weave that creates a uniquely textured, crinkled surface called Shibo. By reducing the surface area that directly touches your skin, Shibo maximizes breathability and airflow.
Combined with exceptional moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties, it offers the ultimate relief from hot, humid nights.

Please refer to the care label with laundry symbols sewn onto the futon before washing. Detailed explanations for each symbol are provided below:
Washing: Hand wash only (water temperature up to 30°C).
Bleaching: Do not bleach.
Drying: Do not tumble dry.
Drying: Line dry in the shade.
Ironing: Iron at high temperature (up to 210°C).
Dry Cleaning: Dry clean on a gentle cycle using perchlorethylene, dibutoxymethane, petroleum solvents, or decamethylpentasiloxane.
Important Note
- Use a laundry net when washing.
- Spin dry thoroughly, reshape, and line dry.
- For ecru and light-colored items, use optical-brightener-free detergent to prevent fading or whitening.Use a press cloth when ironing.

Another reason that makes “Crespo” unique is that the cotton yarns are dyed first, using only natural colour pigmentations extracted from the petals, stems, seeds, fruits, roots, etc. of dried and preserved plants, before the fabric is woven.

Size with a Story
Our summer small size measures 120x160cm (47"x63"), which is roughly 5/8 the size of a standard Japanese single kake futon (150x210cm / 59"x82").
Before air conditioners and electric fans existed, this compact size was cherished in Japan for its practical design. On hot summer nights, people would stretch their arms and legs out to stay cool while keeping only their midsection covered.

In response to requests from our overseas customers, we now offer this summer futon blanket in a standard futon size as well. Please choose the size that best fits your sleeping environment and personal comfort.

Tip: If you are planning to purchase a Shiki Futon as well, we generally recommend choosing the same size for both your Shiki Futon and Kake Futon (e.g., Shiki Futon: Single [100x210 cm], Kake Futon: Single [150x210 cm]).
While there is no strict rule, a properly sized Kake Futon fully covers the Shiki Futon during winter, blocking cold air from seeping in and keeping you warm.
