To help you enjoy your purchase for as long as possible with peace of mind, we offer an optional Water & Stain Repellent Treatment for our fabrics.

While effectiveness varies depending on the fabric type and usage frequency, this treatment repels water and oil to prevent stains from penetrating, making day-to-day care much easier. Applying this treatment will not alter the original texture or color of the fabric.
  • Production Lead Time: Adds approximately 1 to 2 weeks to standard delivery schedules.
  • Durability: This is a water-repellent treatment, not a permanent, fully waterproof coating.
  • Stain Resistance: Designed to repel moisture and oil to minimize staining; it does not protect against all types of dirt completely.
  • Care Instructions: If spills or stains occur, please clean them as promptly as possible.

What is Water & Stain Repellent Treatment?

Feature 1: Dual-Action Protection

It prevents stains from setting in while making any accidental marks significantly easier to clean off.

Feature 2: Repels Both Water and Oil

It creates an invisible protective barrier over the fabric. This layer shields the surface by repelling water and oil-based spills, helping you wipe them away effortlesly.

Can this treatment be used on any fabric?

Absolutely! We work with pretty much every material.Because the treatment solution is custom-tailored to suit each specific fabric type, you can freely choose whatever material you love most for your piece!

Effective Stain Resistance ✅

Spills like soy sauce, ketchup, red wine, coffee, and olive oil can be removed relatively easily, even 24 hours after application.
*Please note that results may vary depending on the fabric weave and texture.

Items with Limited Stain Resistance ⚠️

Not Effective Against:
Hair dye, blood, and India ink (calligraphy ink).
Cosmetics (e.g., Lipstick):
Results vary significantly depending on the manufacturer and product, but heavily smudged or rubbed-in makeup generally cannot be removed.
Curry Powder & Permanent Markers:
While it is difficult to remove these completely, the treated fabric will still clean up significantly better compared to untreated material.

Care & Cleaning Instructions

Rule #1: Never Rub!

Rubbing pushes the stain deeper into the fabric. Instead, use an absorbent material—such as paper towels—to immediately soak up any excess liquid on the surface.

Cleaning Water- and Oil-Based Stains:

  1. Gently pour or spray a small amount of water over the spill to lift the stain.
  2. Gently dab (tap) the area to lift the liquid off the fabric.

Avoid scrubbing, as it can damage the fibers. Thanks to the water-repellent finish, the fabric will dry relatively quickly after cleaning!

Cleaning Timing & Important Notes

  • When to Clean: Act fast! Immediate cleaning yields the best results. If that is not possible, cleaning as quickly as you can will significantly improve stain removal.
  • Avoid Detergents & Sprays: Please do not use detergents or fabric deodorizing sprays. Most contain surfactants, which can severely weaken or strip the water and stain-repellent finish.
  • Disclaimer: This treatment is designed to resist stains and make cleanup easier. However, depending on the cause, severity, and fabric material, some stains may not be completely removable. Thank you for your understanding.
