Ayatori Memories, Woven in Thread
This series, called Ayatori, is named after the traditional string game.
The intersecting lines created by the woven threads form patterns that may look different to each person. This unique design adds charm and individuality to the Ojami cushion.

The fabric is tightly woven with a rich texture, and slightly longer fibers create clean, straight lines. Its soft, yarn-like look gently brings to mind the feeling of Ayatori.

As children, we enjoyed watching a single loop of string turn into many different shapes.
We spent hours playing together, excited to see what shape would come next. In the geometric patterns of this design, you may find a touch of that same sense of wonder and joy.

About the Ojami Cushion
The Ojami Cushion is our original creation—an iconic kangu inspired by otedama, a traditional Japanese beanbag toy. Originally designed for floor seating, it offers gentle posture support with a unique balance of firmness and resilience. Today, it is also loved as a back cushion, adding extra comfort to sofas and chairs.

Unlike typical soft cushions, Ojami gently lifts your hips, helping you sit comfortably in agura (cross-legged) or seiza (kneeling) with natural alignment.

It also works beautifully on sofas or chairs—simply place it behind your back to find your “just right” position. Enjoy deeper comfort, kutsurogi (relaxation), and subtle posture support.
