While modern industrial machines can scour and bleach fabric in just one hour, this fabric undergoes a meticulous four-day manual process. This slow, gentle method minimizes stress on the cotton fibers, preserving their natural volume and creating an impossibly soft, "soufflé-like" texture that is exceptionally kind to the skin.

To complete the experience, our skilled craftsmen hand-stuff each comforter, designing it to wrap you in a sense of total relaxation and tactile bliss.

Washing Guide Instructions for Use & Care

If this product comes with a removable cover, please refer to the care label with laundry symbols sewn inside before washing. Detailed explanations for each symbol are provided below:

Washing: Machine wash at or below 30°C using a very gentle cycle.
*Always use a laundry mesh bag when washing.

Bleaching: Do not bleach.

Drying: Do not tumble dry.

Drying: Line dry in the shade.

Ironing: Iron at a maximum temperature of 160°C (medium heat).

Dry Cleaning: Professional dry cleaning is permitted using petroleum solvents.

Wet Cleaning: Very gentle professional wet cleaning is permitted.

Important Note on Detergents
For natural (ecru) or light-colored fabrics, we recommend using non-fluorescent detergents. Detergents containing optical brighteners (fluorescent agents) may cause the color to change or look unnaturally pale/bluish.

### How to Use

No Cover Required: This product is completely washable and can be used without a cover or sheet.
Fiber Shedding: You may occasionally notice small stuffing fibers pushing through the fabric surface. Please do not use adhesive lint rollers or tape to remove them, as this can pull more fibers out. Instead, carefully snip any loose fibers off with a pair of scissors.

### How to Dry

Drying Conditions: Dry the product in a well-ventilated, shaded area on a clear, dry day. Hang it for about 2 hours on each side, ideally between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Hanging & Shaping: Pat the product gently to redistribute any shifted filling, then drape it over two parallel clotheslines or rods to dry completely.
Important: Avoid beating or hitting the product forcefully, as this can damage the outer fabric and the filling.

Soufflé Gauze™, also known as Japanese Wazarashi double gauze cotton, is a textile of exceptional quality, made in a large kettle using painstaking traditional techniques which involve lots of time and effort. Skilled artisans devote four days to the entire production journey, which includes desizing the fabric, scouring to eliminate impurities in the cotton, bleaching, and thorough water washing. This thorough craftsmanship is a far cry from mechanized factories, which swiftly complete the production in under one hour. The extended production period is deliberate, as it minimizes stress on the cotton fibers, allowing it to preserve its natural volume. The craftsmen’s dedication and commitment to quality results in a fabric that is soft and fluffy like a soufflé pancake.

Mawata (Silk filling) possesses approximately 1.5 times the moisture absorption of 100% cotton filling and exhibits moisture release properties. The silk filling we use is meticulously hand-pulled and stretched, forming layers that facilitate the rapid absorption and release of moisture, including night sweats. This creates a refreshing and breathable experience without feeling stuffy.

Mawata (silk filling), renowned for its ultra-fine fibers, offers exceptional flexibility. It boasts excellent drapability and conforms smoothly around the shoulders and openings, effectively shielding against external air.
