Tassel

The tassels that adorn every Kake Futon Comforter are hand-sewn by our craftsmen, using the watoji stitching technique, which also help secure the cotton filling in place for better heat retention.

Natural fabric

The naturally off-white fabric used to make Kake Futon Comforter is known as kibata. Being 100% natural (bleach and dye free), you can see tiny black specks on the fabric which are actually the dried calyx of the cotton flowers.

Circle Loop

The tiny loop attached on each corner of the Kake Futon Comforter allows you to secure the string ties found inside the Kake Futon Comforter Cover, for the perfect fit.

I am truly lulled to sleep every night

I ordered the shikibuton set two months ago and I could not be any happier. The futon is handcrafted to an outstanding quality and looks so beautiful. The material is so comfortable that I now have a hard time persuading myself out of bed each morning. I am lulled to sleep every night and I never wake up with back pain or discomfort. The kakefuton is quite weighty and helps me to fall asleep too.

Valery also sent me a wonderful letter with my package wishing me happy kutsurogi!

After months of looking at this set, I finally purchased it. Sleeping with this comforter is such a delight. It is wonderfully made and has a nice weight to it. It really keeps all the warmth in. Putting the cover on the comforter was really easy and it has not been hard to clean. Super happy!

Such a beautiful comforter! Here in Australia it is getting very hot and unfortunately I have to wait until the cooler season to use it again, but I can't wait until winter! So comfortable and cosy. I highly recommend :)
