Made from Kyushu-grown igusa rush grass, nurtured in Japan’s climate, each stalk is thick, strong, and finely textured for lasting comfort. The natural rush grass purifies the air, balances humidity, and resists stains, while gradually developing a warm golden hue with use, adding a touch of natural beauty and character to your space.


The surface is infused with hiba essence from Aomori’s hiba trees. This natural ingredient contains hinokitiol, known for its antibacterial and deodorizing properties, keeping your space fresh and comfortable.

Easy to Connect and Arrange

Each tatami mat comes with two joints, making it simple to connect and keep them neatly in place.

Just insert the joint pegs into the holes on the felt backing — effortless setup for a beautiful, seamless look.

My new favourite space!

I love and admire the usability and art of these tatami mats. I was very exited to order these to Norway, and it went above all my expectations. I have been using the mats for about 6 months now, and I feel both stronger and more flexible. I both sleep and work on these mats now (also with a shiki futon for sleep), and I am not going back to a "regular" bed and chair. They are such a simple change to the interior, but changes completely how I feel and behave in my room. I feel dragged to the floor with theese, and also find myself spending a lot more time on the floor and the ground in general. They are easy to assemble, easy to clean and move around if needed. And last but not least; I am very satisfied with their functionality of regulating moisture and temperature. I am deeply inspired and renewed... Thank you!
