Cojami Meditation Zafu Pillow

The name Cojami directly translates to the ‘Little Ojami’. These little meditation zafu pillows have a beanbag feel that is reminiscent of the original beanbag toy called otedama (or ojami in the Kyoto dialect) which our Ojami range is inspired by. Its cube-like shape provides great support and stability for floor sitting. It comes in two sizes, suitable for adults and kids alike. 

The medium size Cojami Pillow is also popular among Japanese parents to use as a kid’s stool.

Beautifully made, a gorgeous accent to any living space.

I love, love, love my Cojami pillows. I got some custom made in the obi material, which I previewed at the Takaokaya shop in Kyoto (I would highly recommend visiting! I had a wonderful time seeing the showroom and meeting all of the lovely folks working there.) The folks at the shop assured me that they could customize any part of the Cojami pillow, and they were able to get the exact fabrics I wanted along with a custom stamp of my birthday flower! I didn't stay long enough in Kyoto to pick them up, but they kept me updated via email about the status of my order, sent over pictures of the finished product, and delivered the pillows within a few short days!

I've been staring at my pillows nonstop since they've come in, and I use them for napping, sitting, and as an art piece. They're my little mementos from my time in Kyoto, and I am now a loyal Takaokaya customer. I'm trying to find any excuse to buy more cushions and pillows from Takaokaya!
