Ojami Flat cushion is commonly used as a seat cushion. This seat cushion brings the style and handcrafted comfort of Ojami to Western-style chairs. Not only as a seat cushion, but they also make a wonderful decorative element to Western rooms and furniture.
The unique shape is inspired by the ancient Japanese beanbag toy called otedama, or ojami in the Kyoto dialect.
Handcrafted by our skilled Kyoto craftsman, Ojami cushions come in a variety of colors, fabrics, fillings, sizes, and shapes to suit your preference and lifestyle.
Amazingly comfortable with a unique geometrical shape, these cushions are not only great for posture support, but they can also be a beautiful decorative piece suitable for any space.

Hikizome (lit. ‘pull dye’) is a traditional Japanese dye technique in which fabric is stretched tight, water is applied and then dye is applied by hand with a brush. Painting the dye into the wet fabric causes it to blur. This technique can also be known as bokashizame, (lit. ‘blur dye’). We have 2 colors for this Hikizome collection. Both names come from famous sightseeing spots in Kyoto. These will be a great combination with Kyoto zabuton.
