If you don't have Tatami, Takaokaya's zabuton, handmade using traditional futon techniques, can be used in different spaces, such as the modern living room. Zabuton (座布団) is a traditional Japanese cushion with nearly 1000 years of history. Originally, zabuton indicated high status and were only used by people such as the emperor and members of the imperial court, or most revered of Buddhist monks.
